Project
Impact of Cash Transfer Policies: Evaluating the Impact of Unconditional Cash Transfers (UCT) Program in Mali.
The main objective of this research project is to evaluate the overall impact of the Unconditional Cash Transfers (UCT) program implemented in Mali on beneficiaries. Direct effects will be analyzed by econometric modeling and general equilibrium effects will be evaluated using the local economy wide model which integrates farm household model into General Equilibrium (GE) framework. By evaluating the direct and general equilibrium effect of the program, this study will generate some evidences regarding the pathways of UCT program impacts as social safety net policies in Mali and West African context.
